This is where the story begins.

Amid a blizzard, a train arrives in a cloud of white steam. The protagonist, a young officer newly assigned to this secret institute, steps off the train. The facility is rumored to be the linchpin of the Silver Cross Army's future victories.

Yet, to his shock, the director who greets him is a mere girl. To the stunned officer, she issues an order: to oversee and manage a group of girls referred to as "test subjects" until the day of their final disposal.

The girls cling to him, begging desperately for his embrace. Puzzled, he asks his colleagues, who answer in unison that this is just how things are here — the girls do it because they want to. Watching his comrades indulge themselves with the girls as if it were perfectly normal, the protagonist feels an unsettling discord.
