상세 설명
Grey was brought into a hospital room, where the doctor in charge of his treatment was a female doctor named Red. She looked like she was in her twenties, seemingly not much older than the protagonist. The treatment method appeared rather simple and innocent—Red would accompany the protagonist every day for color memory training, and she would also take him for walks, pointing out the various colors around them. However, as a doctor, Red seemed a bit too lively and carefree.
In the bed next to the protagonist lived a girl who appeared younger than him. The protagonist noticed the nameplate on her bed; her name was Color. Every morning, the girl would leave with a nurse and wouldn’t return until evening. The girl was very energetic, and when she returned that first evening, she grabbed the protagonist’s hand, eager to become friends and play together. The protagonist didn’t refuse, and thus their color game began.
The girl brought out a set of tools marked in some way. On the back of the paths were raised portions representing the names of the colors. The two became study partners, quizzing each other on whether they had memorized the colors of different things.
The protagonist thought that this girl must be in the same situation as him, having lived in a black-and-white world since childhood. When he was with her, he seemed to regain a desire to see colors again. If he could see colors, he was sure that her smile would be incredibly beautiful. However, his subconscious would always stop these thoughts from fully surfacing, and fear would soon swallow everything, returning the world to black and white.
