One night after getting attacked by a maligno (evil spirit), Nico was visited in his dream by Bulan, the God of the Moon, and tells him this: the Bakunawa has reawakened and has devoured the moon, causing the Long Eclipse.

Nico, being the descendant of a powerful babaylan (shaman), must then bring back the moon with the help of three other individuals that have the blood of a bagani (warrior).
