In the wake of the events of Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Arcane, Beyond the Arcane, throws players into a global conspiracy entwined with the late mother of protagonist Tyrion Cuthbert and the formidable Theocracy of Lumina. Tyrion's quest for answers about his mother's past and the sudden interest in his own burgeoning powers will take him on a world-spanning investigation far beyond the isolated kingdom of Wyverngarde.

The murder trials this time will be overseen by the Ordo Astralis, an international peacekeeping organization, and will introduce a formidable new prosecutor: High Inquisitor Illia Stormwake of the Theocracy of Lumina. While often appearing carefree, Stormwake is a ruthless pursuer of victory in the courtroom.

Due to plot developments in the prequel, Tyrion's former companion, Celeste McCoy, will be unable to join him in his investigations. In her place, he will be accompanied by the Miriam Frega, who will also serve as Tyrion's mode of transport across the various nations.
