The story takes place in a prestigious private school.
The protagonist, Yuuma Shinonome, is the son of the school's chairman and also the student council president.

Because the school has been run by the Shinonome family for generations, he is seen as "unapproachable" and has no close friends.

The only special person in his life is Reina Sakuramiya.

She attends also the prestigious school and is the daughter of a wealthy family, but she is often ridiculed as a "nouveau riche" and the subject of gossip.
