A university student living an ordinary yet empty life eventually learns that a choice he made in the past created a distortion in the world itself. In order to repair the damage he caused, he begins a journey alongside beings that are not entirely human.

The story takes place in realistic locations across modern Japan—a quiet town, shrines, a university campus, hotels, and everyday streets. Yet behind this ordinary world, unseen forces are constantly at work: restless spirits, forbidden magic, and mysterious entities moving in the shadows. People simply fail to notice it.
