Hinako Mishuku is fourteen years old, and quite prepared to die.

By some cosmic twist of fate, however, she manages to avoid its clutches. Surviving by the grace of pure luck and tumbling headfirst into a mysterious facility, she is forced to cooperate with seventeen strangers to find an escape before their time runs out.

With so many personalities and ideas clashing, Hinako finds herself needing to steer the conversations of their ramshackle group in the most productive possible directions. Nothing is set in stone in the facility, and Hinako is about to learn just how much her choices really matter. Will she find the strength to see her goals through? Or will she be lost to the schemes of their captors, the chaos of her companions, or even the traps set by her own mind?
