The main character originally worked as a company employee, however, at the request of his relatives, he is assigned as a live-in caretaker of an apartment building.

He and a friendly part-time housewife, Chiaki Akabane, have been living there for a while, Wakana Takanashi, a calm housewife who moved in temporarily to renovate her house.

Through his work as caretaker and their personal lives, the two married women become close friends.
