Totsugi Yuki becomes disillusioned with city life after completing her junior college education and working for a mid-sized company in Tokyo. She encounters Shibazaki Tokio, a simple and genuine young man, leading to a romantic relationship, marriage, and Yuki inheriting Tokio's family farm in a rural village.

However, the village harbors a disturbing tradition where newlywed brides are subjected to unsettling actions by the local men. The story revolves around whether Yukiko can escape this nightmarish situation and the challenges she faces while adapting to rural life and her marriage to Tokio.
