January 1989: Meteor, a young man from Salt Lake City, made a difficult decision: to sell the camera his mother had given him for his birthday. Facing the future, he felt an unprecedented sense of confusion.

Home was no longer safe. Facing threats from his stepfather, Meteor had no choice but to flee the broken household.
