Set on the remarkably Earth-like world of Xulou, the player experiences the story through the lens of Liam, who is working with his older sister, Pearl, to raise their younger sister, Bella. The same day Pearl leaves to go on tour with her band, leaving Liam to take care of Bella, Liam finds himself kidnapped, and thrust into leading a team of misfits whose goal is trying to prevent the destruction of their world by an impending alien invasion.

Now, he needs to train with his newfound team and prepare to stop the aliens coming to use his homeworld’s core as fuel for their mothership. On this journey, he finds himself getting closer to one of his five teammates (romantic or platonic, depending on your choices), or their mentor (only platonic).
